However, the nut-width and pickup issues seem to have been sorted with the more recent Chinese Casinos.
I didn't realise mine was this narrow until someone pointed it out but I have no issues with it and the neck profile - somewhere 'twixt 60s and 50s - feels great.Īnother thing with the older, Korean models is that the pickups can be horribly hot and dark. My '97 Peerless is just 40mm across and it's a deal breaker for some. One thing to look out for if you're buying an older, Korean Casino is that some have the very narrow, 60s nut width. They're a bit more niche than the LPs and Dots so I'd have thought it less likely but you never know these days. Seriously though, I'd be interested to know if they've started to copy Casinos. Chepiphone or Chasino are nice names but, given that they're already made there these days, it seems somehow wrong. Out if interest, have there been any confirmed sightings of any fake Casinos?
